A 763-acre glacial lake just south of Barton village, Crystal Lake is a noted coldwater fishery with wild lake trout and stocked rainbow trout among its gamefish. It reaches about 100 feet deep, so trolling and jigging produce for trout while the shallows hold bass and pickerel. The state park at the north end adds a sandy beach and shore access.
