The Trout River begins where Jay Brook and Wade Brook meet in Montgomery - water that drains directly off Jay Peak itself. Its run to the Missisquoi is a federally designated Wild & Scenic recreational river. Cold, clean, and full of brook trout in a classic northern Vermont valley.
