This 40-acre community lake on the North Bennington/Shaftsbury line is managed for public recreation. The south-bank fishing access offers a concrete ramp, parking, and a winter-plowed shore platform, all widely used by anglers and boaters. Heavy aquatic vegetation holds bass and pike, and the lake is stocked with rainbow trout.

🥾 Public access: State-built fishing access on the lake's south side via Fishing Access Road: small public parking lot, concrete boat ramp, and a shore fishing platform that is plowed in winter for ice fishing. A second access point along Recreation Lane leads to the Paran Recreations pavilion and picnic area.
📦 Stocking: Stocked with rainbow trout - 2026 proposed plan: 500 trophy (two-year-old) rainbow trout; also part of VT Fish & Wildlife's fall stocking pilot adding large brook and rainbow trout.
