Knapp Ponds #1 and #2 are manmade ponds in the Knapp Brook Wildlife Management Area, minutes from Mount Ascutney in Reading. Vermont Fish & Wildlife stocks the ponds with rainbow and brook trout, and wild brook trout live in Knapp Brook itself. The state has also stocked large trophy trout here in the fall in past years - check the current Vermont Fish & Wildlife stocking schedule before your trip. There are no homes or camps on the ponds, just quiet state land.
