The Ottauquechee River carved Vermont's deepest gorge right in Quechee, and below the gorge it holds wild brook, brown, and rainbow trout. Fishing the pools at the bottom of the 165-foot gorge is a uniquely scenic outing, easily reached on foot from the state park's trail system.
